UK TOP 50 IN CORPORATE FILM ANNOUNCED

The annual ranking of the leading agencies in corporate film was finally revealed last week.

EVCOM (Event and Visual Communication Association) and Moving Image, with support from the BFI, have revealed the final ranking of the UK's Top 50 in brand film and corporate video.

Securing the top spot was Casual Films, followed by DRPG and The Edge Picture Company respectively.

In order to decide the final ranking, an industry peer pole is weighted at 20%, and combined with the volume of projects delivered (5%), trophies won at major awards schemes (10%) and revenue from corporate and brand video (65%). EVCOM chair Andrew Smith praises the ranking's potential to provide industry insights for agencies. "From our data, we can see corporate video is holding up well but not growing at the rate some hoped," he says.

"There is a concentrated effort from EVCOM to help our video members create real value for the medium and this is looking at production workflows, audience understanding and measurement. This will pull heavily on new tech and AI."

Plastic Pictures, which secured fourth place, is described as the fastest riser in the top ten category. A full list of winners can be found here.

The UK Top 50 has been a joint initiative between EVCOM and Moving Image for three years, following its transition from Televisual, which ceased producing the list in 2019.
