ICCO GLOBAL AWARDS 2024 CELEBRATES PR EXCELLENCE

A glittering ceremony marked the announcement of the ICCO Global Awards winners, with CSR being at the heart of many of the evening's strongest campaigns.

The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) unveiled the winners of its 2024 ICCO Global Awards at a glittering gala at The Waldorf Hotel in London this week. The event saw leading PR and communications professionals from around the world gather to recognise outstanding achievements in the industry.

Out of 64 shortlisted entries, 29 awards were presented, celebrating excellence across campaigns, agencies and individual achievements. The night’s biggest winners included Ukraine’s DTEK, which took home three awards for 'Best B2B Campaign', 'Best Media Relations Campaign' and 'Best Event, Launch, or Stunt'. Finland’s Kurio also triumphed, taking home trophies for 'Campaign of the Year for Western and Northern Europe', 'Best Digital Campaign' and 'Best Internal Communications Campaign'.

ICCO president Grzegorz Szczepański observed the social value brought by many of the evening's winning campaigns. "It is particularly heartening that the most popular categories were 'Improving Society and the Reputation of Public Relations' and 'Not-for-Profit or Charity Award'. This reflects the ICCO community’s big-hearted commitment to social causes and dedication to driving meaningful change.

"We are proud to see that the ICCO community not only advocates for others but also leads by example, championing initiatives that improve society and elevate the public image of PR itself. These awards celebrate today’s outstanding achievements while setting a strong benchmark for the future of our industry."

The night closed with individual accolades. Vivien Chiong from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore was named 'PR Leader of the Year', while Patrick Penninckx, head of digital development at the Council of Europe, was inducted into the ICCO Hall of Fame for his decades-long contribution to the PR industry.
