THE IC CROWD ANNOUNCES CLOSURE
At the Big Yak unconference on Saturday 9 October, the IC Crowd announced its plans to close on 17 December after nearly a decade of connections, conversations and collaborations in the internal comms space.
During the fifth Big Yak unconference last weekend, the IC Crowd announced it will be closing its Twitter account on 17 December this year. The popular Big Yak unconference will now by hosted by Redefining Communications, as run by one third of the IC Crowd, Jenni Field.
The IC Crowd was formed by three likeminded internal comms professionals over a decade ago, driving conversations with nearly 10,000 communicators on Twitter. The trio consisted of Rachel Miller, who has since founded the All Things IC consultancy, Jenni Field who launched Redefining Communications, a collective consultancy in 2017, and Dana Leeson who now works as associate director of productivity and collaboration solutions at Biotechnology company CSL.
The past ten years has seen over 9,000 tweets from communicators discussing hot topics in internal comms. The IC Crowd launched the Big Yak unconference in 2013 to connect in-house and independent communicators in-person and provide a place for them to learn and network.
