WICKES PARTNERS WITH YOUNGMINDS TO RAISE £1M
Home improvement retailer Wickes has joined with charity YoungMinds in a two-year partnership aimed at raising £1m to support young people across the UK.
Throughout the partnership, Wickes employees will take part in a series of fundraising missions, including hosting coffee mornings, organising bake sales and running marathons. It kicked off the partnership across its stores and offices, where staff swapped their corporate colours for yellow, to show solidarity and support for the charity.
YoungMinds’ mission is to make sure all young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties.
David Wood, CEO at Wickes, says, “We are really excited about our partnership with Young Minds and are confident we can rise to meet this challenge of our ambitious fund-raising goal. The mission of YoungMinds is something which resonates strongly at Wickes and we know there will be a high volume of support for the charity from our colleagues. We couldn’t be prouder to support this great cause.”
Wickes previously partnered with Alzheimer’s Research UK, raising £2.3m for the charity.
