Event and visual communication association EVCOM has announced finalists in the agency categories for the company’s Industry Awards 2018. For 10 of the companies appearing on the shortlist, it is the first time they have entered the competition.

Broadsword Group will compete against TRO, Smyle, and Banks Sadler in the ‘Best event agency.’   Two-time winner Media Zoo will be up against Affixxius, Radley Yeldar and Dans Digital for the ‘Best production agency’ award.

A total of seven companies will compete for the title of ‘Best challenger production agency.’ The shortlist sees, among others, maiden entrants RD Content, Voytek, Tinderflint, Somersault, Connected Pictures, A-Vision and Plastic Pictures.

Finally, Experience and Live Union will go head to head in the ‘Best challenger event agency’ category.

Alan Bishop, CEO of the Creative Industries Federation and Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, will lead the judging process, while the judges, coming from the top of the industry or the academic circles, will be tasked to evaluate the agencies regarding their investment in team and talent and drive for professional success.

The awards ceremony will be sponsored by Tobacco Dock London and will take place on 30 November, where over 60 agencies will come together to celebrating excellence in screen, live and digital communications.
