CSR COMMUNICATIONS TO BE CELEBRATED AT CLARION AWARDS
Corporate social responsibility or CSR is the shorthand name for a variety of corporate practices including: partnerships, sponsorships, ethical business, sustainable sourcing, environmental policymaking and much more.
As there are countless types of CSR activities, there are also countless types of CSR programmes implemented by companies. When those activities are well suited to both the beneficiary and the business itself, the communications surrounding CSR are more effective.
The EVCOM Clarion Awards have been recognising excellence in CSR communications, chiefly through audio or visual media, for 12 years. The 2015 Clarion Awards will announce this year’s crop of winners on 30 September at the Seven Dials Club in London.
Nominees include a host of video production companies, both upstart and veterans, that have created communications for CSR purposes. Other nominees include Macmillan Cancer Support, which has long used video as a means to communicate about its services and purpose, the Spanish-based NH Hotel Group and the British Forces Broadcasting Service, among others.
Marco Forgione, EVCOM CEO says, “The EVCOM Clarion Awards has a long history of recognising excellence across all areas of CSR. These prestigious awards have been given to some of the world’s largest corporate institutions, the UK’s leading film, event and digital production agencies and venues as well as to small localised projects both in the UK and overseas. It is this great diversity of entrants which make these awards so unique and highly regarded.”
Last year’s Grand Prix winner was the ‘Midlands Together’ case study by Belong. Nominees are announced en masse. Only on the 30th of September will EVCOM announce which companies and entries take home awards in specific categories.
