THE CIPR BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS ANNOUNCED
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has released its 2015 board of directors under Sarah Pinch, president of the board.
The new board consists of five men and five women from a range of professional and geographical backgrounds. While some are agency or independent practitioners, some are also in-house and are situated across the breadth of the UK. Four honorary officers are directly elected by the entire membership, four directors are elected by the CIPR Council and two are nominated by the president herself.
Pinch says, “I am proud to serve the membership of the Institute as president in 2015. We will build on the work led in 2014 by president Stephen Waddington and the new CIPR CEO, Alastair McCapra.
Of the board’s plans for the upcoming year she says, “Our ambitions for 2015 are to make membership more meaningful to clients and employers, for the CIPR to stand up for a profession confident in its high standards and able to demonstrate its value, and for the code of conduct and the CIPR’s CPD system to be positioned as assets that build trust in our practice, reaching audiences beyond the industry.”
Sarah is the founder of Pinch Point Communications and served on the CIPR board in 2014. The new board will come into effect on 1 January 2014.
