CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT AWARDS SHORTLIST ANNOUNCEMENT

The shortlist for the Corporate Engagement Awards 2013 has been announced and with a doubling in entries this year, the competition has been exceedingly tough.

The award specifically recognises and showcases the collaborative efforts of companies and agencies to engage with partners, communities, stakeholders and sponsors. Amongst the nominations this year are some of the corporate world’s biggest and most recognisable names, such as BT, O2 and McDonalds.

The shortlist also includes work from branding, PR and communications agencies like Ketchum and Lansons Communications, whose project won gold in the Corporate Engagement Awards in both 2011 and 2012.

Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate magazine says, “The awards this year saw 102% growth. More importantly the quality of entry has improved dramatically, not only in terms of the strategy and implementation of the campaigns entered but also in the care and the time companies have taken in developing their entries. If it wasn’t for the fact that we had such an impressive panel of judges, the process of selecting the winners would have been virtually impossible.”

Over the last three years of the event, the Corporate Engagement Awards has grown to become Europe’s benchmarking awards programme for sponsorship, partnerships and corporate social responsibility.  One of the judges said "Judging was a very tough job. The combination of high quality submissions, especially around what the programmes had already achieved and the sheer diversity of causes meant that it was a long hard day. It was also immensely motivating to read so many accounts of what can be achieved by highly effective partnerships."

The range of categories for the 2013 awards is extensive, including ‘Best partnership in sports and leisure’, ‘Most effective long-term philanthropic scheme, foundation or programme’ and ‘Best activity relating to the London 2012 Olympics’.

The winners will be revealed at a grand gala dinner on 26 September at the Hotel Russell. For more information about the event, please call +44 20 7498 7008, visit corporatenegagementsawards.com or contact Hannah Hodges.
