A PROMISING EVENT
In January, 500 UK PR professionals will meet to dance the night away and raise money for Bright One at the PR Prom.
Bright One is a volunteer-run comms agency for the third sector that provides PR assistance to charities across the country. This year Bright One has enabled 1,500 hours of communications expertise to be made accessible to charitable organisations.
Ben Matthews, founder of Bright One, said, “The PR Prom promises to be a fantastic event and will provide some much needed support to the valuable work that Bright One does. We want to see the industry come out to support their own and have fun while doing good.”
Besides food and drinks, attendees can look forward to dancing, a silent auction and the opportunity to have classic prom-style photos taken, as well as music from live performances by She Makes War and The Olympians and a DJ set from Hypernaked’s Matt Brawn.
The idea of a prom may be a traditional one, but in this age and in this sector, social media will always play a role. The customary Prom King and Queen titles will receive nominations via Twitter along with a third award, ‘Most likely to...’
