Moheko, the recently-launched price comparison service for corporate reporting has announced that it has sourced suppliers for £750,000 of reporting projects in its first week of activity.
According to MD Robert Moser, the scale of quotes coming in for annual report projects has shown a variance of as much as 300%. Interestingly, the prices quoted seem to bear little relation to the size of the agency – Moser revealed that one annual report project saw a near-identical number of annual reports produced from the two agencies that had offered the highest and the lowest quotes.

Moheko's research has shown that the UK's largest 250 PLCs currently use over 70 different annual reporting agencies, with 30 different reporting agencies acting for the FTSE100 alone. According to Moser, this large number of agencies does have its benefits."The small, nimble agencies keep the larger ones on their toes," he said, "while the biggest often have the resources to do the largest research projects."
