PR PROCUREMENT TOOLKIT LAUNCHES

A new toolkit has been launched which helps PR clients and suppliers with procurement.

The Joint PR Industry Panel on Procurement has launched an initial six modules of a PR Procurement Toolkit on topics such as indicators of best practice in PR procurement, and the procurement process and document management. Each module aims to cover a distinct stage of client-supplier relationship in PR procurement in order to help PR clients make procurement decisions.

The panel, chaired by Tom Wells, MD of procurement consultancy Gyroscope, is made up of representatives from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the Kent branch of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, the Central Office of Information and the Public Relations Consultants Association.

David Noble, CEO of the CIPS, said: “It’s good to see that our branches are active in helping to develop toolkits to encourage good procurement practice in a variety of sectors. Good public relations is key to any organisation’s success.”
