COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORS' FORUM TACKS AN AUTUMN COURSE

Richmond Events announced last week that their comms and PR event, the Communications Directors’ Forum, will take place in October this year, at the same time as their Marketing Forum.

The Communications Directors’ Forum has traditionally taken place in the spring, on board the Aurora, a luxury cruise ship that sails around Guernsey for the duration of the event. Since its inauguration 12 years ago the three day event has focused on bringing together delegates and suppliers from the communications industry.

The Marketing Forum is an autumn event, also taking place on board the Aurora, and is currently in its 18th year.

Richmond Events have made the move after seeing an overlap of delegates from the communications, PR and marketing communities. Richard Ellis, Communications Director for the PRCA and a sponsor of the Communications Directors’ Forum, pointed out that “integrated marketing campaigns have become increasingly common as advertising and PR meet in the digital space... the two disciplines cannot be siloed.”

Communicate magazine is a media partner for the Communications Directors’ Forum.
