PRIMARK APPOINTS ALICE MACANDREW AS CORPORATE AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

Primark has announced the appointment of Alice Macandrew to the newly-created position of corporate affairs director. Macandrew joins Primark with the remit to develop a global corporate affairs team and strategy that will build and protect long-term value in Primark.

Working closely with Primark’s leadership team and its parent company ABF, Macandrew will be responsible for internal and external corporate communications at Primark. In recognition of Primark’s ambitious international expansion strategies, Macandrew will build an international corporate affairs team across current and future markets.

An experienced corporate affairs leader, Macandrew was group director for corporate affairs and communications for Thomas Cook from 2015-2019. Previously, she was group director for corporate communications at Sky. She also led corporate communications at the News Corporation and was formerly a partner at financial PR agency Finsbury. Macandrew has spent the last year working for Elisabeth Murdoch, leading on communications and strategy for Sister, the independent studio, and the Freelands Foundation.
