10 YETIS ANNOUNCE NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR
Following its best financial year to date, digital agency 10 Yetis has appointed a new managing director. Shannon Peerless, who has been with the agency for 10 years and previously held the role of head of PR, is stepping into the position of managing director.
The south west-based digital agency has implemented a management restructure as part of a review of its most successful year to date, 2018, that includes a new managing director, as well as growth plans for the next five years and a new head of public relations. 2018 was the company’s best year since it was formed in 2005 in terms of growth and turnover. Peerless, who has been with the agency for 10 years, will spearhead the company’s attempts to meet its five-year plan.
The agency’s co-founder and previous MD, Andy Barr, will continue to be heavily involved in all of the agency’s day-to-day operations, under the new title of CEO. He will also be working on a several side projects that aim to benefit the wider growth of the agency and reflect the changing nature of the media and PR landscape.
The expansion of 10 Yetis in recent years has seen the growth of the PR, social media, video, design and web divisions; with a team of 25 individuals who have carried out projects for the likes of Confused.com, Superdry, Optical Express, WaterAid, Huel and Gocompare.com.
Peerless, who started at the agency in 2008, will now be at the helm of the agency’s continued development and growth and will be tasked with reviewing processes and operations to ensure the effective delivery of campaigns and projects across the board.
There are plans to recruit more staff over the next 12 months in the video, web and social teams and the primary focus will be on business development. Lauren Wilden, who has been at the agency for almost six years, is the agency’s new head of PR.
Barr says, “Shannon has been at the forefront of the agency’s growth for a number of years and has been amazing to work with. I have every faith that, under her leadership, she will go on to do great things for 10 Yetis and help to take the agency to the next level.”
Peerless adds, “Having been with the agency for 10 years now, I’ve seen how 10 Yetis has grown and changed over the last decade and it’s been a pleasure to be a part of that. I’m both excited and honoured to have the opportunity to play an even bigger role in the agency’s future; one which I’m confident will be both bright and disruptive in all the right ways. For Andy to give me this chance means the world.”
