PENGUIN EXPANDS PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM

Rachel Axford joins creative events and incentive agency, Penguins, as a project manager within the events team.

As a project manager, Rachel’s main responsibilities will be to plan, implement and deliver events across the whole of the business. Rachel will use her expertise to help drive projects and manage all logistics for clients, as well as working with the production team to help bring a creative event to life.

Rachel started her career in events in summer 2012 where she worked with innovision – a live event and experience planner’s agency – working on experiential campaigns for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, as well as working on the British Business Embassy campaign, which ran at Lancaster House throughout the 2012 Olympics.

Rachel’s most recent role was working for BCD Meetings & Events who are a global events agency. Her main responsibilities were to manage two large SMM (Strategic Meetings Management) accounts, firstly as a Project Manager and latterly as a Senior Event Logistics Manager. In both cases, each role included venue sourcing, delegate registration and event management with a key focus on account management and uniform processes.

Mark Buist, managing director of Penguins commented, “It’s a great achievement to expand the project management team and have Rachel join us. With her expertise and knowledge of the events industry we are confident she will hit the ground running and continue to drive our business forward.”

This continued growth has seen the Penguins team increase to 24 expert led members with the aim to add to this throughout the working year.
