LANSONS' TONY LANGHAM REAPPOINTED AS GBR CHAIRMAN

Tony Langham has been reappointed as chairman of the board of Great British Racing Limited (GBR) for a further three years, overseeing the organisation tasked with marketing and promoting British horseracing.

Langham was first appointed to the board in February 2016 and his chairmanship will continue to include oversight of both British Champions Series Limited and Great British Racing International.

Langham says, "It's an honour to be reappointed and I'm really looking forward to working for three more years with chief executive Rod Street and the talented Great British Racing, British Champions Series and Great British Racing International teams. Racing has to fight hard to grow its share of the leisure market and we're most effective when the industry works together. GBR is a great example of that collaboration in action."

Maggie Carver, chairman of the Racecourse Association (RCA) adds, “On behalf of GBR’s Horsemen’s Group and RCA shareholders, I am pleased to confirm Tony’s reappointment. GBR plays a vital role in racing’s growth – by encouraging interest and engagement with the sport. Tony’s wealth of experience and leadership has proven invaluable to the company.”

Langham is the co-founder and is chief executive of Lansons, the award-winning reputation management and public relations firm, and retains an active consultancy across its clients. As well as having advised governments, organisations and companies on their image and reputation for over 30 years, he is a longtime follower of racing as both a racegoer and punter.
