EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST SCOTT MCKENZIE JOINS MONTFORT COMMUNICATIONS

Montfort Communications, the fast-growing corporate reputation firm, announced that Scott McKenzie, the employee engagement specialist, has joined the team. This is the latest senior hire in a programme of talent acquisition which is set to double the size of the business in six months.

McKenzie was a former joint-MD of Lansons and is a specialist in organisational change and employee engagement. At Lansons, McKenzie developed the change and employee engagement business from the ground up, working on a range of major corporate issues and helping to significantly boost the agency’s profitability and growth.

Prior to Lansons, McKenzie was head of change and internal communications at H+K Strategies and led the practice across the EMEA region. Previously, he spent 10 years in-house at RBS and Lloyds Banking Group.

Hugh Morrison, Montfort's co-founder, says, “Employees are a critical stakeholder audience for any company and their importance is only growing. Scott brings an incredible track record of advising world-class companies and helping them communicate complex messages, frequently to audiences around the globe.  Scott is joining the team at an exciting time of growth for Montfort and we look forward to working with him in this dynamic area.”

McKenzie says, “I have been deeply impressed by Montfort’s ambition, track-record and entrepreneurial spirit. I can’t wait to get started. With Brexit, and a volatile economic outlook, clients are more likely than ever to be grappling with major organisational change, and how best to engage their own people through those periods of uncertainty. At Montfort, we are well placed to advise clients on those types of issues whether it’s around engaging people inside your business, your customers or wider external stakeholders.”

Already this year, Montfort has announced the arrival of both Nick Bastin, a 25-year industry veteran of CNC, Capital MSL, Smithfield Financial and Dewe Rogerson, and Rob Bailhache, the founder of Neustria Partners and formerly a partner and managing director at FTI Strategies, head of global press at HSBC Holdings and director of communications at Direct Line Group.

Montfort is enjoying a record year following a string of new business wins, including DWS, the global asset management giant and major M&A and IPO contracts.
