CHARLOTTE STREET PARTNERS EXPANDS WITH NEW APPOINTMENT

Strategic communications agency Charlotte Street Partners has announced the appointment of Iain Gibson as associate partner.

Gibson joins the agency at their Edinburgh base from global strategic communications consultancy Finsbury where he spent seven years in the firm's Middle East & Africa offices, advising government and private sector clients across the region.

Charlotte Street Partners was created in 2014 by Founding Partners Malcolm Robertson and Andrew Wilson as a strategic communications and advisory firm. It offers a range of services to companies, institutions, organisations and charities across the UK.

Gibson’s appointment takes the number of staff to 18.

Malcolm Robertson, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Iain to our talented and motivated team. He joins us at an exciting time and one of considerable growth for the agency. We continue to look for further opportunities to challenge the potential of our existing team and to recruit new talent. We hope to have further announcements to make later in the summer.”

Gibson, who prior to leaving Scotland in 2011, spent six years in the press office at Holyrood for the Scottish Conservatives, said, "I have followed the progress of Charlotte Street Partners closely for a number of years, so I am thrilled to be joining the agency at a time when it is clearly growing from strength to strength. As the world becomes more interconnected, clients increasingly require counsel and advice from a global perspective. I'm looking forward to using my experience of working abroad to provide these services for our clients and I'm especially excited to be joining such a strong team of people."
