BREXIT AND TRADE LUMINARY SHANKER SINGHAM JOINS GRAYLING AS A SENIOR ADVISOR

Grayling, the integrated global communications company, in partnership with Citigate Dewe Rogerson, Quiller and other companies in the Huntsworth PR Group, have recruited one of the world’s leading trade and competition lawyers, Shanker Singham, as a senior advisor with a brief to develop the Group’s Brexit and trade offer to clients.

Described by Michael Gove as the UK’s “leading expert on trade deals”, Shanker has become one of the country’s most influential thinkers on Brexit since the EU referendum.

As a leading expert on international trade, he has advised governments and companies around the world on global market access issues, including WTO and Free Trade Agreements.  He was also involved in the early stages of the EU accessions of Hungary and Poland, and the WTO accessions of China and Russia.

He is currently one of the secretary of state for International Trade’s Committee of Experts, has been an advisor to the House of Commons International Trade Committee, and is the director of the international trade and competition unit at the globally respected think tank, the Institute of Economic Affairs.

Shanker Singham, senior advisor to Huntsworth PR Group, said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Grayling to work with them and their sister agencies across Huntworth’s portfolio. There is a strong mix of truly impressive people and clients within the Huntsworth PR Group, and I very much look forward to collaborating with them and providing counsel to clients in navigating these complicated times.”

Richard Jukes, chairman of Grayling, said, “We’re delighted that Shanker is joining us at Grayling and the wider Group. Brexit and trade are knotty areas, and there is no one better placed than Shanker to help our clients cut throught the noise and articulate a considered position that stands up to scrutiny. He is an outstanding addition to Grayling’s award-winning Brexit and trade offer that extends from London to Brussels and across Europe.”
