UHY HACKER YOUNG APPOINTS PARTNER
UHY Hacker Young, the national accountancy group, has appointed Zoe Paradine, current head of marketing & business development as a partner in the London office.
Paradine, who is also on the UHY Hacker Young UK board and executive committee, has been working with UHY Hacker Young for more than 15 years. She will officially be made a partner of the London firm on 1 November.
Laurence Sacker, UHY’s London managing partner, explains that the appointment is significant as it recognises that the success of modern accountancy firms is created through their support teams, such as marketing, as much as through the traditional practice areas.
Paradine recently helped develop UHY Hacker Young's 2020 Vision and national marketing strategy, which concentrates on the strength of UHY Hacker Young’s sector capabilities, its local knowledge and global reach.
UHY Hacker Young is currently ranked 15th in the Accountancy Age Top 50 UK accountancy firms – up from 20th just over ten years ago – with its UK fee income totalling £58.2m in 2016-17. The group comprises 110 partners and more than 620 professional staff working from 22 locations across the UK, with the firm also proactively looking for new members in key geographic locations; Scotland, Leeds, Cumbria and the South West.
Sacker says, “We are proud of Zoe and delighted to be welcoming her onboard as a Partner. This is an achievement she deserves after many years of dedication to our firm. It is unusual for senior marketing personnel to be made partner – but this is also testimony to the impact Zoe has had.”
Paradine adds, “UHY Hacker Young is an innovative firm that always looks to deliver the best. I am pleased to be the first person from the marketing and business development team to achieve partner status. It is important to be part of an organisation that is willing to push boundaries and challenge convention.”
