The PRCA has appointed Neil Bennett MPRCA to the PRCA Board of Management. Bennett has been Maitland’s chief executive since 2010. He originally joined the firm in 2004 from Gavin Anderson & Company UK, the financial and corporate communications group.

Bennett advises a wide range of Maitland’s clients on their strategic communications issues and has overseen a series of Europe’s largest M&A transactions, IPOs and reputation management briefs over the past decade.

Before starting his career as a consultant, Bennett spent 16 years as a financial editor, columnist, presenter and journalist. He received the ‘Outstanding contribution award’ at the PRCA City and Financial Awards 2016.

Bennett says, “I am looking forward to taking up this new position and helping Francis and his colleagues continue to develop the PRCA and its activities. I have always believed that the PR and communications industry needs a strong industry body to help set standards and train the next generation of advisers and practitioners and I am delighted to have the opportunity to play a small part in that.”
