LANDOR LONDON APPOINTS NEW ECD
Former head of design at Marks & Spencer joins Landor as executive creative director for London
Global brand consultancy, Landor, has appointed Richard Jones as executive creative director for London. Jones was previously head of design and production at Marks & Spencer and will now oversee all creative output at Landor’s London office. His nearly 30 years of experience in design and branding has seen Jones work across a diverse range of major brands and projects locally and regionally, including Vodafone, Gilette, P&G, Unilever and Chevrolet.
While at Marks & Spencer, Jones led the brand design team, and was responsible for raising the creative output across packaging, instore communications, brand imagery and digital, which included the recent brand refresh and food hall experience. Prior to Marks & Spencer, Richard was executive creative director at two leading creative agencies, G2 Joshua and OgilvyAction, now part of Geometry Global.
Jones will be tasked with using his experience of developing multi-disciplinary creative teams to amplify Landor’s 360° branding capabilities.
Andrew Welch, managing director of Landor London, says, “Richard’s expertise in bringing to life brand stories across film, verbal, print, digital and environmental applications made him a perfect fit for this role; in today’s disruptive multi-channel world, brands can no longer be created as static or fixed elements, they must be considered and crafted to live in a rich and diverse world creating compelling experiences every time they are touched. We’re thrilled to have him lead our London creative team and we’re confident he will take Landor London to new creative heights.”
