CONVERSIS ENHANCES ITS EXECUTIVE TEAM

Conversis, the specialist translation and localisation provider, has announced the appointment of Jamie Newall as joint chief executive officer, working alongside Gary Muddyman, the company’s founder and existing chief executive officer. Newall will also join the Conversis board of directors.

Following significant and sustained recent growth, Conversis has moved to strengthen its executive team to drive the further development of the business. Newall has held a number of senior global executive roles in the private equity, finance and natural resources sectors. He was educated at Cambridge University and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and holds a master's degree in law.

“This is an important appointment in the evolution of Conversis” says Muddyman. “Our recent positive growth has taken us to a level where we need to strengthen the executive team. After pursuing him for some time, I am delighted that I was able to convince someone of Jamie’s calibre to join the already impressive group of senior managers in the business. He has an enviable skill set and experience at a senior level in businesses all over the world. Equally importantly, he shares the Conversis values of outstanding customer service, high quality output and transparency”.

“Our industry is experiencing significant changes as it matures and evolves against a backdrop of new technology and increasing demand. This creates many opportunities and challenges for agile businesses like Conversis and I look forward to working with Jamie and the rest of the team to ensure that we continue to respond in a positive and responsible way”.

Newall adds, “I am thrilled to be joining Conversis at such an exciting time in its history. The company has very firm foundations and a great reputation, which combine to provide a strong platform for continued growth based upon our core principles of high quality language, great service and flexibility. I am keen to get started and play my part in the Conversis story”
