BRIAN COOPER HAS JOINED AESOP FROM THE OLIVER GROUP
Storytelling agency, Aesop, has appointed Oliver Group’s chief creative officer, Brian Cooper, as executive creative director.
Cooper's arrival reflects Aesop’s continued drive to remain at the forefront of creativity powered by narrative thinking. Working closely with Aesop founders CEO Roger Hart, director of narrative Ed Woodcock and commercial director Jim Paterson – Cooper will work across the agency’s broad client roster including HBO, HSBC, Shell, Clipper Tea, Smith & Nephew, Aligntech and Pernod Ricard.
"Aesop has a unique storytelling proposition, which brands clearly like,” says Cooper. “In today’s ever more complicated marketing world, telling compelling stories has never been more important. I can’t wait to get started."
While at the Oliver Group, Cooper took overall responsibility for the creative output of the group, including Dare, working with a portfolio of well-known brands including: Unilever; Ryanair, Eurostar and The Guardian, and oversaw Vision Express’ lauded ‘Vision Taken Seriously’ campaign.
Before Oliver, Cooper’s roles include ECD at Ogilvy UK, head of creative & strategy at Apple and ECD at Wieden & Kennedy.
“Brian joins us with an extremely impressive track record – but most importantly he is passionate about storytelling. As the agency continues to grow we know that the creative heart of Aesop is in very safe hands. We are thrilled to welcome Brian to the agency,” says Hart.
Cooper will take up his new role in January 2018.
