LANDOR LONDON APPOINTS MANAGING DIRECTOR TO REINFORCE EMEA GROWTH
Global strategic brand consulting and design firm, Landor, has appointed Andrew Welch as its new managing director for its London office.
This is part of a strategic move to reinforce and enhance its growth in the EMEA region.
Welch previously worked at Landor as executive director for EMEA, before his appointment to CEO of Y&R South Africa in May 2011.
During his tenure at Y&R, Welch worked to transform the traditional advertising network into a media agnostic creative consultancy able to advise across the communications mix.
Welch turned Y&R from a company solely judged on its advertising creativity into a business that was measured through the effectiveness of its work, measured in client sales and profits.
Remarking on his appointment, Welch says, “I’m looking forward to returning to Landor, this time as managing director with my expanded knowledge and newly developed approach to business. Working for Y&R in South Africa was a welcome challenge, transforming the ad agency into a creative business consultancy, helping the company to build a more diverse portfolio of clients.”
Jane Geraghty, president EMEA, Landor, says, “Andrew is an exceptional talent with a long track record of winning business and building strong client relationships. We’re thrilled to have him return to us at a time when we’re seeing extensive growth across EMEA.”
