JAYWING PUTS CREATIVITY AT TOP OF THE AGENDA
Jaywing has today announced the appointment of David Wood to the newly created role of chief creative director.
The role has been created to place significant emphasis on its creative work for clients and to unify its creative offering across the business.
David, previously one of Jaywing’s managing directors, is now responsible for the overall creative vision of the agency, which boasts a wide portfolio of clients including E.ON, PepsiCo, Castrol, Sky, first direct, Pets at Home and Ann Summers.
David’s responsibilities will see him lead the creative community across Jaywing and Epiphany’s digital, content and brand communications teams, where he will enhance further the role that creative plays and the value it delivers for the company’s clients, particularly when combined with its significant data science and technical credentials. He will continue to work closely with the rest of Jaywing’s senior management team to deliver the long-term creative strategy for the agency.
An exceptional brand marketer, who trained with Wolff Olins, David is an evangelist for the power of great design and a stickler when it comes to the craft of creating brands. David was a founding partner of Iris, the Sheffield agency acquired by Jaywing in 2012.
Rob Shaw, CEO of Jaywing UK and Australia says, “David is a seasoned creative consultant, who has over 20 years’ experience in design and branding. This new role has been introduced to ensure that our approach to creative maintains and exceeds consistently high standards in the context of the ever-shifting sands of today’s multi-disciplinary, complex world, across our extensive offering in digital, branding and content. He is the perfect creative tour-de-force for this role that will see our creative offering go from strength to strength.”
David Wood, chief creative director at Jaywing says, “Creativity plays a really strong part in our business and for our clients, and our creative teams produce outstanding work on behalf of many big name brands. My vision in this new role is to ensure our impressive creative credentials are integrated right across the business and to ensure free and bold creative concepts and design continue to flourish. I am delighted to take on this new challenge and am excited to build on our successes in 2016.”
