CENTRE FOR AGEING BETTER WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Louise Ansari has joined the Centre for Ageing Better as director of communications, after over 20 years of experience in strategic communications roles.
Louise has joined from Diabetes UK where she worked for the past five years, in roles that included director of prevention of Type 2 diabetes, and director of communications.
Prior to this, Louise held senior positions within the British Embassy in Madrid and the Council of Europe.
She was also previously head of communications at Lambeth Borough Council. Other roles have included working with the Food Standards Agency and Which? and the Health Education Authority. She is also a trustee for the Medical Research Foundation.
The Centre for Ageing Better is an independent charitable foundation working to help everybody enjoy a good later life.
Louise will be responsible for leading all communications at the Centre for Ageing Better. She will work closely with Anna Dixon, chief executive, Dan Jones, director of innovation and change, and Claire Turner, interim director of evidence.
Ansari says, “With a growing ageing population in the UK and the huge opportunities and challenges this presents for society and individuals, it’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining Ageing Better. I look forward to sharing my passion for using communications to help improve lives and bringing to light the evidence about what works to help more people enjoy a good later life.”
Chief executive of Centre for Ageing Better, Anna Dixon, says, “We are delighted to welcome Louise, who brings an enormous amount of experience and will play a key role in building a strong communications function to drive changes that help people enjoy a good later life."
Dixon continues, "Her expertise in delivering impactful, meaningful communications will be critical in our mission to develop, share and apply evidence to help people age better.”
