TAYLOR BENNETT FOUNDATION APPOINTS CHAIR
The Taylor Bennett Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Sukhvinder Kaur-Stubbs as its first chair of trustees.
Established by communications executive search firm Taylor Bennett in 2008, the Foundation seeks to address the need for greater ethnic diversity in the public relations industry.
Sukhvinder is managing director of Engage – Building Networks of Trust, which supports partnerships and stakeholder engagement across the public, private and voluntary sectors. She has led a number of charities including the Barrow Cadbury Trust and the Runnymede Trust where she was previously CEO, and has been chair of Volunteering England and ENAR, the European equality network that secured Article 13. She has a track record of championing young people, inclusion and social mobility.
Taylor Bennett Foundation founder Heather McGregor says, ‘We have been working for over six years now to change the face of PR by providing paid-for training for graduates from black and minority ethnic backgrounds to prepare them for careers in PR. Sukhvinder’s deep experience in the not-for-profit sector and her commitment to promoting and developing talent will be invaluable to us, and we are truly thrilled that she has accepted this important role.’
Sukhvinder comments, ‘This is an exciting and visionary charity and a cause I am proud to support. The Foundation has achieved an enormous amount in six years but there is still much to do. With help from the industry, together we can change individual lives and also create a workforce with a quality and range of ideas, which reflects the diversity and dynamism of today’s youth. ‘
