MOLLY ALDRIDGE ELECTED AS VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE PR COUNCIL
The Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) has revealed that Molly Aldridge CMPRCA, global CEO, M&C Saatchi PR, is to be the 2016 vice-chairman of the PR Council.
The PR Council provides a formal mechanism to consult with the industry's most senior practitioners on the issues PR faces, to act as a think-tank for the industry, to inform the PRCA's strategic priorities and to produce helpful commentary, advice and best-practice guidance for PR professionals.
The appointment follows an election process among the 2016 PR Council members.
Aldridge will take on the role in January 2016, at the same time as David Hamilton CMPRCA, director of communications, The Scout Association, is promoted to PR Council chairman. She will go on to replace Hamilton as chairman of the PR Council in January 2017.
Aldridge has led M&C Saatchi PR since 2012, before which she was global managing director of SLAM PR. She has previously held senior positions at Weber Shandwick and Henry’s House.
Aldridge says, “I am delighted and honoured to be voted as PR Council vice-chairman for 2016 and look forward to helping the Council continue to shape our exciting and evolving industry - adding a super-passionate female voice among my fellow council members."
The PRCA would like to thank Tony Langham CMPRCA, chief executive of Lansons, for his work leading the PR Council this year.
