
H+K APPOINTS VIKKI CHOWNEY
Hill+Knowlton Strategies, London (H+K) has strengthened its content production and publishing capabilities with the hire of Vikki Chowney as director of content and publishing strategies. She joins from TMW Unlimited, where she was head of social, and from Things Unlimited where she was head of agency.
Vikki has over 10 years’ experience working in digital marketing and communications overseeing community management and influencer outreach programmes and developing brand partnerships for some of the UK’s most popular brands.
Her specialisms include the curation of user-generated content, as well as the digital capture and distribution of real-time, real-world content. Her client portfolio includes Activision, Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, General Mills, Sony Pictures and Toshiba.
She is a well- respected industry figure having been nominated for a number of awards including being voted one of The Drum’s Top 30 women in digital in 2012, one of Red Magazine’s 20 under 30 in 2013 and a finalist in IPA’s Women of Tomorrow competition in 2013.
Prior to working in communications Vikki was a journalist, as news editor for Econsultancy and editor of new media age’s Reputation Online. She has also written for Communicate magazine, The Guardian and Marketing Week.
