BARABINO & PARTNERS APPOINTS PIETRO COMO

Barabino & Partners launches its new investor relations department in London, headed by Stefania Bassi.

Barabino & Partners announces two major developments in its London office, with the appointment of Pietro Como as managing director of B&P UK plc, and the launch of the new investor relations department.

Pietro Como joined Barabino & Partners in 2006. He worked at the Milan headquarters of the group for four years, prior to moving to London in 2010, where he contributed to the start-up and growth of the UK office through the development of the corporate, legal and brand communication areas.

His extensive and multi-sector experience in financial and corporate communication has seen him work with many multinational technology corporations, Italian listed companies and law firms.

With the beginning of the new year, Barabino & Partners has also launched its new investor relations department in London.

Established in Milan in 1999 and headed by Stefania Bassi, the IR division supports listed companies and bond issuers in the definition and implementation of investor relations strategies and in market monitoring activities. Over the last fifteen years, B&P IR has established itself as a recommended entity for this activity in Italy and in Europe.

"For some years now, the UK financial market has become the most important hub for this activity, along with the historical presence in Italy and all across continental Europe - stated Luca Barabino, CEO of Barabino & Partners. “Therefore, opening the division in London is another key step in our process of internationalization."

"Our direct presence in London - commented Pietro Como, managing director of B&P UK - will enable our professionals to establish an even tighter, continuous and effective dialogue with the local financial market, which is by far the largest, most efficient and dynamic in the world in order to support ever better our Italian and international clients".

"This decision - concluded Luca Barabino - is part of the international growing process Barabino & Partners had already started in the 90s with the Brussels office and then confirmed with the opening in London (2007), Berlin (2009) and New York (2011), foreign locations completing the organization with the Italian offices in Milan, Genoa and Rome."

Barabino & Partners is the leading corporate communication group in Italy and the main Italian player internationally, with over 100 professionals working in its seven offices in Italy and abroad.
