
PROMOTE PR IS LEAD AGENCY FOR LONDON 2019 WORLD PARA SWIMMING ALLIANZ CHAMPIONSHIPS
Specialist sport and fitness communications agency, Promote PR have been appointed lead agency for the integrated marketing and communication for the rearranged London 2019 World Para Swimming Allianz Championships which takes place at the London Aquatics Centre from 9-15 September.
Working in partnership with key stakeholders including British Swimming, British Paralympic Association, International Paralympic Committee and UK Sport, Promote PR will be coordinating all activity to drive awareness and tickets sales of the championships, the largest disability swimming competition outside of the Paralympic Games and a key qualifier for Tokyo 2020.
The overarching campaign 'Experience the Extraordinary,' created by sports marketing agency Earnie, reflects the speed, power and excitement of Paralympic swimming, while illustrating the vibrant culture of this multinational competition. Showcasing the passion and talent which is at the heart of this sport, the campaign provides an opportunity to educate audiences on para swimming while promoting a sense of pride amongst a home crowd.
To ensure the event is accessible to all and ensure an electric atmosphere for athletes and fans, tickets prices start at £1 for day sessions and £5 for evening sessions.
Widespread marcomms activity will encompass content creation, out of home advertising, a broadcast partnership with Channel 4, London school engagement programme, social media and influencer activation and media relations, in addition to maximising all partner channels over the coming 10-week period.

London 2019 will be the ninth edition of the World Para Swimming Championships, returning to Great Britain for the second time following the 2015 event in Glasgow.
