VXFIBER APPOINTS CCGROUP AS ITS UK PR AGENCY OF RECORD
VXFIBER, a Swedish provider of Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions, has appointed B2B tech PR firm CCgroup as its agency of record in the UK.
CCgroup has been tasked with developing and executing a strategic PR programme to support VXFIBER’s launch into the UK. The objective is to establish brand awareness amongst UK local authorities, property and estate management, as well as the telecoms industry. This will include driving industry awareness of VXFIBER’s disruptive business model through industry thought leadership. CCgroup will also work to establish profile for the company’s leadership team, by driving interactions with key media and supporting the company at high-profile industry events.
To build the digital economy of the future the UK’s homes and businesses need full-fibre connectivity. But according to Ofcom only 3% of UK buildings are currently connected to fibre, leaving the country trailing behind its European counterparts. VXFIBER is addressing this problem by launching a unique business proposition to the UK market. Through a public-private collaboration – the so called “Swedish business model” – it partners with local authorities to invest in and install their own high-speed fibre assets, helping them take charge of their own digital destinies.
Richard Watts, sales and marketing director at VXFIBER explained, “It’s an exciting and strategically important time for VXFIBER as we enter the UK market. As such, we need a PR agency that has an in-depth understanding of the telecoms industry and the ability to tell our story in a compelling and engaging way to a multi-faceted audience. CCgroup offered a clear understanding of what we are trying to achieve, as well as the approach needed to get us there. We’re looking forward to working with the team.”
“VXFIBER is an extremely interesting company with a compelling business model. Its launch in the UK will help local authorities and commercial property developers take charge of their digital destiny and lead the way in the rollout of Gigabit connectivity across the country,” added Niki Hutchinson, Head of Mobile and Telecoms at CCgroup. “The company sits right within our telecoms heartland and reflects the growing focus on investing in the full-fibre connectivity that will help the UK compete on the global stage. We’re very excited to help VXFIBER achieve its ambitious goals and play our part in helping them fulfil their purpose.”
