Leading international recruitment and executive search specialists, VMAGROUP, has continued to expand its international team with the hire of senior communications specialists Daniella Soesman in the Netherlands and Liesl Weber in Belgium.

With an M.A. in Communications and Journalism, Daniella has more than 20 years’ experience in working for blue-chip multinational organisations both in the Netherlands and internationally, including RBS, ABN AMRO and VIVAT. A natural people person, Daniella joins the company’s team in the Netherlands to drive growth across the communications, digital and marketing markets on both a permanent and interim basis.

On joining VMAGROUP, Daniella said, “One aspect that I have particularly enjoyed in all the roles I have had is connecting people through communications, and I see a great opportunity with VMAGROUP to keep doing that – using my existing network and energy to bring together great candidates with great roles.”

Born in South Africa and living in Belgium for the last 18 years, Liesl has almost 30 years’ experience in the communications field, notably as Amcor’s communications director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. She joins VMAGROUP’s team in Belgium to focus on building growth in both Belgium and Luxembourg.

Commenting on her new role, Liesl said, “I have so much energy and experience to bring to VMAGROUP and I’m looking forward to using that to help organisations find the best talent across communications, digital and marketing. My favourite saying is Think Big, Start Small, Move Fast, and I shall be living that as I help the company in its continued growth.”

The appointment of Daniella and Liesl follows the company’s hire of another senior consultant, Baudouin van de Werve, who joined VMAGROUP’S European team in October 2017. Baudouin joined from TopManagement, a CEO and communications networking organisation, where he was responsible for developing a programme of senior leadership events and sponsorships.
