SIR LLOYD DORFMAN JOINS THE BOARD AT ENTERTAINMENT MARKETING AGENCY THINK JAM, AS PART OF MULTI-MILLION POUND INVESTMENT DEAL

Think Jam founder and CEO, Daniel Robey, has confirmed a multi-million pound strategic partnership with Dorfman Media Holdings.

The investment for the entertainment marketing agency, founded in 2004, will enable it to recruit more talent and start new ventures. It will see it grow its 100-strong team across its offices in the UK and the US, and expand its suite of specialist integrated marketing services for some of the biggest clients in film, TV and gaming.

Sir Lloyd Dorfman CBE, founder of the Travelex Group and serial entrepreneur, will join the board, along with his son Charles Dorfman, CEO of Dorfman Media Holdings. Dorfman Media Holdings made the investment after spotting huge potential in the agency to expand, disrupt and make change within entertainment marketing.

The agency is expected to double in size over the coming years, with a focus on social media, digital advertising, real-time trending video content and brand strategy - as well as launching in new entertainment sectors such as sport. There will also be more funding for the agency’s influencer marketing service AMI (Any Meaningful Influence), which is designed to match campaigns with targeted influencers to create more meaningful content for audiences. Think Jam will be concentrating on growing its client base, which already includes the likes of Twentieth Century Fox, The Stanley Kubrick Estate, Bethesda Softworks, Lionsgate and Entertainment One.

Daniel Robey, CEO of Think Jam says, “I am thrilled to announce this investment partnership with Dorfman Media Holdings, which will enable us to grow our business. With the consolidation of studios such as the Fox / Disney merger and acquisitions such as the AT&T / Time Warner deal, a new tide is turning. There has been a big change in the media buying landscape, which needs to be addressed. Clients trust us to be one step ahead and work with them to navigate through the challenges of marketing in today’s world. Over the coming months, clients can expect to see a significant investment in our expertise, our people, capabilities, skills and knowledge. We are looking to hire multiple roles across the business”.

Dorfman says, “We are delighted to be partnering with Think Jam as part of our strategy to invest in the media and film industries. They are a fantastic business that has built an excellent reputation through the quality of their work and extremely impressive client base. We are confident that Daniel and his talented team at Think Jam will continue to grow and innovate to best serve their clients in the ever-changing entertainment marketing landscape." The multi-million pound investment in Think Jam will see Dorfman Media Holdings take a significant minority share in the entertainment marketing agency. Think Jam will remain under the leadership of Daniel Robey.
