SEDEX LAUNCHES NEW SUPPLIER HEALTH CHECK REPORT
Sedex launches new Supplier Health Check Report to support companies to better understand industry and country related risks, and help improve their business’ ethical performance
Sedex has launched a new Supplier Health Check Report that uses a supplier’s site information and audit data to provide an inherent risk score – showing a supplier how they benchmark against other suppliers in their industry or country across labour, health and safety, business ethics and environment.
The Health Check Report uses this information to link the supplier to e-learning courses and guidance to go beyond compliance and help them self-improve, track and monitor their ethical and sustainability performance.
Suppliers can access the Supplier Health Check Report as part of a Supplier Plus add-on to their membership, which provides other benefits including improved access to Sedex’s ethical trade networking tool, the Sedex Member Directory.
Mark Sugden, director of marketing and responsible sourcing, says, “Understanding inherent risks in an industry or country is key for companies to manage risk in their supply chain and improve their overall business performance. The Health Check Report will better enable Sedex Supplier Members to manage this risk and drive their own continuous improvement in sustainability.”
