MHP WINS CONSUMER BRIEFS FOR ALL KIMBERLY-CLARK UK BRANDS
Kimberly-Clark has cemented its 10-year relationship with MHP Communications by awarding the agency the PR briefs for a further five brands alongside Andrex and Kleenex.
The agency now manages the earned media for all the organisation’s seven UK brands, including Huggies Little Swimmers, Huggies Pull-ups, Huggies Wipes, Huggies DryNites and Depend.
This new remit includes overseeing the brands’ social channels, content creation, influencer engagement and trade PR, as well as managing their consumer press offices.
The expanded scope marks the latest in a string of amazing wins under the leadership of Gemma Irvine, MHP’s new Head of Brand. Irvine, who joined the agency in 2008, was promoted last year to lead the team who, with Engine, delivered the Missing Type campaign for NHS Blood and Transplant, which has received over 60 awards, including PR Week’s Best Campaign in 2016.
Other notable campaigns include Shop Small for American Express; English Sparkling Pantone for Laithwaite’s; and the Aviva Community Fund.
Gemma Irvine, MHP’s head of brand, said, “We’ve enjoyed enormous success over the years working on Kleenex and Andrex so to add these well-loved brands to our portfolio of work with Kimberly-Clark is just great – we think there is enormous scope within earned media to give them the fame and love they deserve and are looking forward to getting stuck in with the KC team.”
Matt Stone, head of personal care marketing, UK & EIRE at Kimberly-Clark, said, “MHP have demonstrated a passion and drive to change the way our Family Care brands engage with consumers over the past few years. We are delighted to extend this thinking and way of working across our entire portfolio in the UK and look forward to finding even more innovative and effective connections with our consumer base”
The win underlines continued momentum for MHP under CEO Alex Bigg, who has overseen wide-ranging changes at the agency, including a shake-up of the senior team. Recent client wins include Neptune Investment, Cobham, HarbourVest Global Private Equity and Eastspring Investments.
