MAAG AND PRCA ENTER INTO SERVICES AGREEMENT
The Marketing Agencies Action Group (MAAG) has entered into an agreement with the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) to share administrative and operational services.
The PRCA and the MAAG will share back office services to allow each organisation to optimise efficiencies whilst focusing on their respective mandates.
After the MAA went into Administration in April 2018, the MAAG, led by Clive Mishon and Graham Kemp, acquired the assets and goodwill of the MAA from the Administrator to ensure that the good work of the MAA did not disappear.
The agreement with the PRCA ensures that the MAAG will have access to a full range of resources and services to enable it to hit the ground running in its new incarnation.
The PRCA, the UK’s leading professional body for public relations and communications practitioners, was equally keen to see that the interests of agencies that are not part of holding company groups were being properly represented, and offered its services and resources to help support the MAAG in delivering against its mission.
The shared services that form part of this agreement between the two organisations include office space, IT services, event management, web development, social media support, and accounting services, whilst also sharing and collaborating in industry insights.
Clive Mishon, director of MAAG, said, “The MAAG, as a new representative trade body for independent agencies, needs to ensure that its dedicated resources are focused on delivering great services. Therefore it made great sense to be able to enter into a resource sharing agreement with the PRCA that has a proven and really smart office infrastructure that we are pleased to be able access. We are also delighted that the PRCA shares our values that like-minded organisations work better and deliver a better service when they collaborate.”
Francis Ingham MPRCA, general director of PRCA, said, “As disciplines collide, it makes absolute sense for professional bodies to help one another. So I am delighted that we are able to announce this collaboration today. The PRCA-MAAG partnership will give our respective members a louder and stronger voice, and enable us each to deliver more to them. We share common goals, and now we can share some common services too. A true win-win.”
