LAW FIRM KNIGHTS APPOINTS MHP FOR AIM IPO
Knights, one of the UK’s fastest growing regional legal and professional services businesses, has appointed MHP Communications as its financial PR advisers for its forthcoming AIM IPO.
Knights, who are ranked within the UK’s top 100 largest law firms by revenue, is aiming for a valuation in excess of £100m, making it the largest ever UK law firm float.
MHP Capital Markets’ executive chairman Andrew Jaques and senior director James White will lead the MHP account team, with support from Kelsey Traynor, Vera Prokhorenko and Robert Collett-Creedy.
Commenting on MHP’s appointment, James White said, “We are delighted to have been appointed by Knights to work on the Group’s forthcoming IPO. Their unique market positioning, sector-leading growth and disruptive business model make them an exciting business to work with and we are looking forward to helping them achieve both a successful IPO and a supportive secondary market thereafter.”
The win builds on the agency’s strong portfolio of legal clients and is the latest sign of momentum in MHP’s Capital Markets team. In March, MHP announced the appointment of Oliver Hughes as head of Capital Markets and Andrew Jaques’ promotion to executive chairman of Capital Markets, marking the final stage of CEO Alex Bigg’s shake-up of MHP’s senior team. His new team includes Nick Barron, deputy CEO; Mike Robb, head of financial services; Andy Bloxham, head of corporate; James Gurling and Jamie Lyons, joint heads of public affairs; Gemma Irvine, head of brand; Kate Pogson, head of health; and Emma Smith, CEO Asia.
