CHAMPIONS UK PLC EXPANDS ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH INTERNATIONAL MARINE MOTORSPORT PROMOTER, POWERBOAT P1
Although its relationship with leading brand agency, Champions UK only began at the start of this year, international marine motorsport promoter, Powerboat P1 has already seen enough to bring the company on board for yet more services.
Initially tasked with increasing exposure for P1’s powerboat and jet ski race series by implementing a worldwide PR communications strategy, Champions will now also provide support to build the level of digital activity in multiple markets.
Working as digital partners with Powerboat P1, Champions’ in-house digital specialists will deliver a range of services. Along with developing social media advertising campaigns, the team will manage content across 14 different social media accounts, including platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Vimeo.
Speaking of its decision to expand Champions’ remit, Azam Rangoonwala, CEO at Powerboat P1, said, “From the outset we have been impressed with the level of service, expertise and energy that Champions has brought to the table. As we have begun to build relationships with the team and utilise the in-house expertise on offer, it was clear that there was so much more they could deliver for us.”
As a full-service agency, Champions is well placed to offer its clients a complete solution. The agency adopts an approach which allows clients to build their own package from the suite of ‘Perfect 10’ services it offers. These services include creative, marketing, advertising, media, publishing, PR, celebrity management, web, events and of course, digital communications.
“This ability to build a package which best fits its business needs,” said Champions’ co-founder and managing director, Matthew Hayes, “is something our clients really appreciate. It enables them to blend our services with their in-house resources while also giving them the reassurance that if they need us, we are here and can deliver.”
With the P1 race season set to kick off in Torquay next weekend -14-15 April- and with events through to November in the UK, mainland Europe and USA, the Champions team will have a challenging schedule, something they relish as Matthew explains, “Just like us, P1 is fast-paced and dynamic and our team is revved up to support its 2018 season. The work we will now be doing across its digital channels will complement the ongoing PR activity, further raising the profile of the sport.”
Recognised as the world’s fastest-growing marine motorsport series, the P1 SuperStock powerboat championship, AquaX personal watercraft racing and Jetcross stand-up ski series make for exhilarating viewing. The 19 events this year will attract significant crowds as well as being enjoyed by a large global TV audience.
