A SLICE OF PI FOR APRILSIX PROOF
AprilSix Proof has been appointed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation as its first ever strategic communications partner in a non-competitive appointment.
Raspberry Pi, the UK charity that aims to put the power of digital making into the hands of people all over the world, has traditionally delivered its communications activities in-house. It has achieved remarkable success to date capturing the imagination of children, adults and businesses alike, leading to sales of over 20 million low cost, high performance micro-computers.
“We came across AprilSix Proof when we won The Royal Academy of Engineering’s MacRobert Award” says Liz Upton, executive director of communications at the Raspberry Pi Foundation. “They achieved exceptional results that left a lasting impression on us. We’ve felt for a while now that we might benefit from external help to add to what we can achieve internally, so it was fantastic to finally come across an agency who clearly share our passion and values.”
AprilSix Proof’s remit will initially focus on expanding the uptake of Raspberry Pi devices in B2B markets and exploring new consumer routes through integrated campaigns in multiple territories.
“Raspberry Pi is one of the most exciting brands in our sector. It blends a brilliant product, based on exceptional engineering, with world-changing digital skills outreach,” says Ellie Dobson, head of science, engineering & innovation at AprilSix Proof. “Our experience and ethos means we’re a natural match for Raspberry Pi.”
Jim Sutton, managing director of AprilSix Proof added “Bringing Raspberry Pi onto our client list exemplifies both our ambitious growth strategy and supports our global vision of being the most admired technology and science agency to work for and with. We’re excited to be working with such a talented team and exciting, laudable brand.”
