R&A, SCOTTISH FA AND UEFA APPOINT FRAME PR AS HIRING SPREE CONTINUES
The PR operation of Frame, one of Scotland’s leading creative marketing agencies, has won contracts with a number of high profile new sporting clients including the R&A, Scottish FA, PFA Scotland and UEFA.
The appointments come on the back of a recent recruitment drive which has seen former journalist and Scottish FA communications director, Darryl Broadfoot, join the rapidly expanding agency. Broadfoot will lead the R&A consumer PR project to promote attendance at the 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
Other significant wins for the PR business include the UK’s leading tenancy deposit scheme TDS, the Scottish Seabird Centre and Black & Lizars which has appointed Frame on a fully integrated marketing remit to deliver all PR, digital and creative services.
Stephen McCranor, who set up Frame’s PR business less than three years ago in a joint venture with Edinburgh and London-based Charlotte Street Partners, and Frame Group, says, “This latest raft of new business reflects the calibre of people we’re bringing into the agency and our obsession with recruiting the industry’s best talent is paying off.
“We play in a competitive space as a PR business in Scotland and the UK, but the seamless integration of the wider Frame offering and the depth of talent in the building is something clients are really buying in to. It’s not good enough just to say you’re a multi-discipline agency, we need to be best in class at each discipline and this continues to shape our recruitment strategy. The agency’s headcount is nearing 70 across our service offerings and we’re actively pursuing the brightest and best PR people to fuel the growth in this area.”
Gary O’Donnell, managing director of Frame Group, adds, “The wider development of Frame as a group doesn’t stop with the PR business and we plan to further widen our integrated offer with some exciting announcements in the pipeline for later this year.”
Frame currently holds two of the main PR industry awards for its work handling George Clooney’s visit to Scotland on behalf of Social Bite. The agency has carved a niche representing not-for-profit enterprises and successfully handled the crowd fund and launch of new craft beer brand and clean water charity, Brewgooder.
Frame recently moved to a new 15,000 sq ft HQ at Pacific Quay located between BBC and Scottish Television.
