MASSIVEMUSIC LANDS IN JAPAN BY OPENING TOKYO OFFICE

International music agency MassiveMusic has extended its global reach with the opening of an office in Tokyo, as the worldwide network lands in Japan. The opening of the Tokyo outpost will be the company’s sixth global office, following in the footsteps of Amsterdam, London, New York, Los Angeles and Shanghai.

The Tokyo team will be composed of Junya Terui, managing director & executive producer, Tamon Fujimi, business development manager and Rick Sakurai, creative director & composer. Reinforcing the company’s commitment in Asia, the opening of a Tokyo office allows MassiveMusic to have professionals within the local market who understand the Japanese language and culture and can communicate with clients, fully understanding their needs, wants and expectations.

“We believe true teamwork and creativity stems from a human to human connection,” says Terui. “Building a conveniently located office and studio in Tokyo allows us to communicate as perfectly with the market as can be.”

Hans Brouwer, CEO and Founder of MassiveMusic, adds, “We’ve done a lot of great work in Japan over the past few years and we totally fell in love with the country. It really felt like a natural step to open a new office and expand our presence in Asia. Our aim is to work better with brands and agencies in Japan and drive innovation through diversity."

Fujimi says, “The market is evolving every day and has really reached a tipping point. Historically, Japan has been known for being an isolated nation and culture, but it’s in the midst of change. With that, so is its advertising style, with Western standards and perspectives on creativity and quality becoming increasingly important. Companies with an international mind-set are quite rare here; we want to be one of those companies and blend local global creativity.”
