MADMADDY PRODUCTIONS HELPS BRANDS ENGAGE THROUGH COMEDY
Comedian Maddy Anholt has launched MadMaddy Productions, a production which helps brands engage with their audience through comedy. Her new advert for Moneybox featuring character ‘Shazza’ gained over one million views for the brand in just one week.
Anholt says, “Comedy is a great way to communicate with an audience and get your message across. I launched MadMaddy Productions to give brands a way to do this effectively. Our content is impactful and delivers results, including driving traffic to a brand’s website, increasing visibility and encouraging new signups. We’ve had a huge amount of success with the latest ad for Moneybox and are already full of fresh ideas for the next phase.”
Anholt recently appeared in BBC 3’s ‘Sunny D’. She is a regular panelist on Sam Delaney’ ‘News Thing’ and will perform her one woman show ‘Herselves’ at this year’s Latitude Festival before returning to the Edinburgh Fringe. Maddy will also appear in the upcoming special "The Story of Miranda Hart" for Channel 5.
MadMaddy will work in partnership with Delaney’s content agency Studio Sixty Billion who will offer creative and strategic support to brand projects. Delaney is a former editor in chief of both Heat magazine and Comedy Central UK. Studio Sixty Billion launched in 2015 and has since worked for clients including BBC Radio 2, RTUK, TalkRadio, LinekdIn, Maltesers and the Facebook brands Candy Crush and Farm Heroes. They also created and produced this year’s Festival Of British Advertising for the IPA.
Delaney says, “Maddy is one of the hottest rising stars in UK comedy who has proved she has the midas touch for the difficult business of creating effective viral content. We’re delighted to be supporting her talent with our own experience in brand creative, strategy and production. We think together we can offer brands an exciting and effective way of engaging large audiences online.”
