INTEGRATED AGENCY DRP HOSTS SECOND DRPBIGTALK

Worcestershire-based agency drp yesterday hosted clients for a second ‘drpbigtalk’ at its midlands-based head office. The day of insight and innovation included keynote presentations, roundtable discussions, followed by an evening of food and entertainment. The aim of the event was to provide the industry with insights on key topics, helping the industry to grow and ensure drp’s clients advance in their various fields of expertise.

In 2016, drp launched the first drpbigtalk, which saw over 200 people come together for the biggest shared conversation to date. This year, the day was hosted by television presenter Juliet Morris and included a selection of industry leading panellists and experts. Eliza Filby, academic, writer and businessperson, began the event with ‘The bigger picture,’ looking at Millennials, Gen Y & Gen Z audiences. Eliza Filby was followed by Caspar Berry, a motivational and keynote business speaker specialising in the subjects of risk, decision making, innovation and leadership.

The day concluded with an evening drinks reception and a final session from writer, presenter and journalist, Martin Sixsmith, former director of communications for Tony Blair's Labour government.

Callum Gill, head of insight and innovation at drp, says, “For brands, businesses and even the individual, we are living in an age of extremely rapid technological and societal transformation. If we’re going to stay relevant to the next generation of employees and consumers, we need to act fast and stay ahead of the curve when it comes to implementing new communication strategies and campaigns.”

“At last year’s drpbigtalk, we saw the tremendous value an event like this can provide; a day out of the office dedicated to looking ahead and glimpsing the future of our shared craft. This year’s event promises to be just as valuable with a great list of speakers providing insight, ideas and inspiration,” says Gill.

Through the drptalk online blogs on key industry topics and the ‘drptalk’ live events, the agency aims to alter work in fast-evolving world of communications. Its 4.2-acre site on the Ikon Trading Estate, in the Midlands, is the largest corporate creative production facility of its kind in the UK.
