CHAMPIONS PLC JOINS FORCES WITH THE MAGAZINE SALES HOUSE

Brand agency Champions (UK) plc is making another leap forwards in its growth plans, having recently appointed the Magazine Sales House (MSH) to help further expand the agency's network of advertisers in three luxury lifestyle magazines – Inspirational Birmingham, Inspirational London and Aspirational Magazine.

With an offer based around 10 core services, from which clients can pick and choose from, publishing forms an integral part of the firm’s core services. Publishing 120,000 copies annually, the three publications are distributed to luxury hotels, boutiques and read by high net worth individuals who know a thing or two about living a luxury lifestyle.

With the help of advertising sales company, MSH, the three publications will benefit from access to MSH’s network of relevant advertisers.

Working as an extension of Champions’ sales team, directors Ross Marshall, Sonia Edwards and their team, will sell and promote the three publications to agencies and clients around the UK, tapping into their years of experience in the advertising industry. 

Champions’ three publications will sit alongside MSH’s 135 strong portfolio of publications including the likes of the Mayfair Magazine, Ulster Tatler and Living North. That together offer near coverage of the UK with a monthly readership of over 7.7m.

Edwards says, “We thrilled to be working with Champions and their three glossy magazines. At MSH we will take Inspirational Birmingham, Inspirational London and Aspirational Magazine, to potential advertisers including relevant agencies, businesses and brands. These advertisers will be from the world of luxury lifestyle and therefore fit the high-end readership of Champions’ three publications.”

Champions’ partnership with MSH was the brainchild of Champions’ group sales director, David Simms. Formerly of the Trinity Mirror, Simms brings a wealth of experience from the media world, and was thrilled to bring MSH on board.

Simms says, “Inspirational Birmingham, Inspirational London and Aspirational Magazine is a successful trio of publications. They are luxury. They are aesthetically pleasing. And they are brought together by some great creative minds at Champions. The publications need some fresh advertisers that will help to further boost their profile in their respective regions. With Champions having recently made headlines for their big ambitions to expand the business from 80 members of staff to over 100 in the next year, and making tracks towards their turnover target of £50m by 2022, their working relationship with the Magazine Sales House is another step forwards for the brand agency.
