SECRET CINEMA NAMES UNITY AS ITS NEW AGENCY

Creative agency Unity has been appointed by Secret Cinema to handle the launch of its latest immersive experience project, post-apocalyptic horror film 28 Days Later.

Unity has been hired to deliver against a wide-ranging brief, which covers strategic and creative direction for both the pre-production activity and the launch itself.

The appointment comes as Secret Cinema looks to increase the brand’s engagement with consumers outside of London with its first-ever nationwide show. Danny Boyle's 2002 British cult classic 28 Days Later also marks a new territory for the company, with its first take on the horror genre.

Secret Cinema joins a growing portfolio of arts and culture clients at Unity including luxury book publisher Taschen and creative graduate show Free Range.

Katy Stolliday, Unity Director says, “Secret Cinema is an exciting venture that has grown tremendously in popularity over the last few years – it continues to excel in creativity and storytelling, an attribute we put great emphasis on at Unity. We can't wait to get our teeth stuck into getting the news of 28 Days Later out there, while also helping with the pre-show creative."

28 Days Later follows in the footsteps of last year’s wildly successful Star Wars events. Both are examples of the ‘Secret Cinema Presents’ series, which break away from the company's usual practice of not revealing its selected film beforehand.

The 28 Days Later event will run in London from 14 April 2016 to 29 May 2016 with a second secret city to be revealed soon.
