PRCA CITY AND FINANCIAL AWARDS 2017 HOST ANNOUNCED
Leading financial commentator, David Buik, has been announced as the compere of the PRCA City and Financial Awards 2017. The prestigious black tie event takes place on 22 February 2017, at the Merchant Taylors Hall in the City of London.
The PRCA City and Financial Awards celebrate the best of the city and financial PR and communications industry. It is also in support of the Company of PR Practitioners.
Buik has had a 53 year career in the City, encompassing merchant banking and money broking, developing his knowledge and experience at Philip Hill, Higginson Erlangers before passing through brokers including RP Martin & Co, Exco and Prebon Yamane. He spent the last 16 years as a market commentator at Cantor Index, BGC Partners and most recently at stockbrokers, Panmure Gordon & Co. He has appeared on the BBC, Bloomberg Television and CNN International.
Buik says, “It is a pleasure to once again be compere of the PRCA’s City and Financial Awards. I look forward to meeting all of the finalists and celebrating another great year in financial and corporate communications.”

The City and Financial Awards now has 15 categories, including ‘Best M&A or communications in support of a transaction,’ ‘Best banking communications campaign,’ ‘Best strategic communications or corporate brand campaign,’ ‘In-house team of the year,’ and ‘City agency of the year.’ The full list of categories can be viewed here.
