BRAND COMMUNICATIONS SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH ECOBANK

Brand Communications, a leading communications firm focused on Africa, has signed a new three-year contract extension with Ecobank, Africa’s largest pan-African bank.

This is the third time that Ecobank has extended its partnership with Brand Communications since the institution started working with the agency in 2008.

When the relationship between Ecobank and Brand Communications began, Ecobank had a presence in 17 markets. With the support of Brand Communications, the bank has grown its presence to 36 markets, with offices in Paris, London, Dubai and Beijing.

Ecobank is headquartered in Lomé, Togo.

Brand Communications provides a full range of branding, marketing, digital and internal and external communications support to the bank. Under the terms of the new contract, the agency will deliver an extended range of corporate communications support to Ecobank.

Terhas Asefaw Behre, managing director and founder of Brand Communications, says, “As an integrated agency, we build iconic brands for Africa. We are proud to continue our partnership with Ecobank, one of the most valued brands across the continent. We are passionate about Africa and believe our work can contribute to the economic development of the continent”.

Ama Okyere, group head of marketing at Ecobank, says, “The nature of Ecobank’s relationship with Brand Communications has greatly expanded since we first partnered with them nearly eight years ago, and the re-signing of a long-term contract is further evidence of our close relationship and shared values.”

The bank provides a range of financial services and products to customers and is a household name in Africa.

Brand Communications recently produced Ecobank’s consumer banking advertising and marketing campaign entitled Move On Up, which is being rolled out across Africa, in English and French.
