BRAND COMMUNICATIONS LAUNCH ‘BREXIT ADVISORY SERVICE’
Brand Communications, a leading communications firm focused on Africa, has set up a Brexit Advisory Service to handle the increasing number of requests for information from clients and to respond to enquiries for new business opportunities which are growing in the wake of the Brexit vote.
The Brexit Advisory Service will grow over the next few weeks as new hires are made across Brand Communications to reflect the sector specialities required by existing clients and also to reflect new business wins. The Brexit Advisory Service will also support new clients from Africa as they enter UK and EU markets.
Director of public affairs, Mark Sabah, will oversee the work of the new Brexit advisory service and co-ordinate with his colleagues in the African offices of Brand Communications. The new service will help clients understand the opportunities available in UK-Africa relations and offer support and risk analysis for new and prospective clients.
Terhas Asefaw Behre, managing director and founder of Brand Communications, says, “There is no question that Brexit has caused ripples of uncertainty and opportunity right across Africa. We aim to offer our existing clients the confidence they need in staying ahead of the curve on Brexit and encourage new and prospective clients to feel positive about their investments and projects in Africa.”
Mark Sabah says, “For a few weeks in June and July this year, Brexit, and the subsequent political fallout, was the only show in town. However, the number of calls and enquiries about work in Africa has risen exponentially and we felt that we needed to offer this new service dedicated to supporting issues related to Brexit.”
Brand Communications currently works for some of the biggest brands in Africa including Ecobank, Continental Reinsurance, Djondo Foundation, Royal Air Maroc and Petro D’Ivoire.
Mark Sabah says, “The volume of enquiries we’ve received from British firms seeking communications support across Africa has grown at an unprecedented rate. Until all the negotiations regarding Brexit are completed, there will be a few years of uncertainly and we will be there to support companies and organisations on how to communicate with their staff and other audiences during this period.”
